Luxury AAA Cartier replica watches has been found at a Scots cathedral sparking a desperate appeal to find the owner.
The vintage timepiece was discovered hanging from the fence outside Dunkeld Cathedral in Dunkeld, a small village in Perth and Kinross on Monday, July 26.
The value of the authentic Must De Cartier Vermeil fake watches online shop is not known, but similar second-hand models are selling at pawnbrokers for almost £2,000.
And Chris Claydon – who has launched the appeal to find the owner – reckons the sentimental worth to the owner, will be much more.
Chris, who is from Dunkeld and is a member of the Dunkeld and Birnam Community Council, told the Record: “A visitor to the village found the Swiss made super clone watches hanging on the gates at Dunkeld Cathedral.
“He brought it down to the owner of The Clootie Dumpling Cafe in Cathedral Street who suggested asking Julie, the owner of Going Pottie, a pottery painting shop on the same road, if she might have some idea of how we could reunite it with its owner.
“I happened to be in Going Pottie chatting to Julie when they came in and I suggested we share it on our Dunkeld and Birnam Community Council Facebook page.
“It’s obviously been a well worn and well loved little 1:1 cheap replica watches. We think it might have belonged to an older lady as it has a very distinctive perfume smell.
“I’ve cleaned the back and I can see that it’s a gold plated silver US fake watches for men.”
On Tuesday we told how a pensioner’s £9,500 Cartier copy watches for sale was believed to have been stolen after he took it off his wrist for the first time in 33 years at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
David Harrod, 85, was on a Covid-19 ward when he removed it because tubing on his arm was causing him irritation on Tuesday, July 20.
Hours later, the replica watches with Swiss movements had vanished from his bedside.
It was a gift for his 20th wedding anniversary and is of huge sentimental value – and Chris’ appeal gave the family hope it may have been David’s perfect quality Cartier replica watches that had been found.
His daughter Zoe contacted Chris, but was gutted to discover it was just a coincidence.
Chris added: “We were sorry to hear it wasn’t the one that had been taken from Ninewells.
“But it’s obviously a well loved little best quality replica watches and it would be great if it could be reunited with its owner.”
If anyone knows who the top fake watches belongs to, contact Chris.
